Overview

The BEAM network is made up of a growing group of hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers that are using OneMedNet’s BEAM technology to electronically transfer image studies over the Internet. Our technology allows facilities to rapidly, securely, and easily transfer full-fidelity (DICOM) medical image studies to each other within minutes over the Internet. BEAM replaces CDs as a medium of exchanging image studies. Prior to any transfer, both facilities approve the transfer and the receiving facility reconciles the Patient MRN and the study Accession Numbers. Once approved, studies are transferred securely over the Internet, in minutes, at full-fidelity directly from sending PACS to receiving PACS. Studies are not stored on servers in the Internet cloud.

BEAM has many use cases including transfers of trauma patients, requests for mammography exam priors, and cardiology consults, to name just a few. Using BEAM helps improve the quality of health care and reduce costs.
