BEAM® to Reduce Care Costs and Improve Care Delivery
(July 26, 2016 – Minneapolis, MN) OneMedNet Corporation, the provider of the industry-leading image sharing solution (BEAM®), announced UK HealthCare, an academic research institution that includes the hospitals and clinics of the University of Kentucky, has chosen to significantly expand its current utilization of BEAM® with a more extended technology adoption. BEAM® is currently leveraged in several sites within the UK HealthCare system and will now be broadened across the state to link upwards of 50 healthcare systems and hospitals to the University of Kentucky, associated in part with a comprehensive tele-cardiology program.
“It is very gratifying to help UK HealthCare achieve their exciting and innovative patient care delivery objectives,” stated Jason Dvorak, VP of Sales and Marketing of OneMedNet. “Our entire organization looks forward to continued collaborations with UK HealthCare as this important and long-standing partnership evolves.”
The BEAM® system was first installed in 2011 with UK Radiology. It then was expanded into Cardiology and Mammography in 2013 and 2014, respectively. A significant benefit and use case of the system is in quickly receiving images from outlying facilities.
UK HealthCare encompasses UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital, UK Good Samaritan Hospital and Kentucky Children’s Hospital as well as the patient care services at Markey Cancer Center, Gill Heart Institute and all UK’s clinics and outreach locations. UK HealthCare is a research intensive, referral academic medical center that aims to ensure all Kentuckians — no matter how complex their medical problem — can be taken care of in the Commonwealth for advanced subspecialty medical care.
